Christmas Illumination!

Merry Christmas everyone!  This is my latest video!

The song is “Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas” by Bing Crosby.

Shot on a Canon 5dmark2 with a 16-35 lens.  It was my first time using my Kessler Pocket Dolly - still getting used to it.  :)

Most of the footage was shot at St. Paul’s Hospital - Lights of Hope, please donate if you can:

Your donation to the Lights of Hope fundraising campaign funds greatest needs at St. Paul’s Hospital, helping support inspired care, research and teaching.

One of Canada’s leading academic health science centres, St. Paul’s Hospital cares for more than 200,000 patients each year. More than 40 per cent of patients come to St. Paul’s from outside Vancouver for specialized services, including cardiac, renal and HIV/AIDS care.

This video was featured on the New York Times’ lens blog:

“With the economy still in disarray, it’s time for a dose of holiday cheer. The Canadian videographer Jon Rawlinson has put together an uplifting Christmas video showing off the lights of St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. It’s set to “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” sung by Bing Crosby. There’s no compelling narrative, and no one speaks, but I found myself strangely moved watching the piece, my Yuletide spirit lifted a notch or two higher.” Erik Olsen - video journalist NYTimes

Lucky - stunning animation…lovely music
